OCTOBER 2025

Happy fall, everyone!

We are decked out for the season here at Rising Tide. With our bounty of decorative pumpkins and gourds, the (mostly) cooler temperatures, and the changing of the leaves, it’s hard not to get into the spirit of fall. We also know what that means for your household—busy schedules, the need for healthy, delicious “fast” food, and a place to get what you need to arm up for cold and flu season. Not to worry, we’ve got you covered, and we look forward to seeing you in the store!

With gratitude,

Jerry

Happy Non-GMO Month

We join the NON-GMO Project in celebrating Non-GMO Month! GMOs, or genetically modified organisms, refer to organisms whose genetic makeup has been altered by technology rather than nature. But did you know that, in the United States, a product can only be certified as organic if it is also non-GMO? So if you’re interested in steering clear of GMOs, your best bet is to buy organic or look for the Non-GMO Project’s label.

Visit the Non-GMO Project’s website to learn more about GMOs and their impact on the environment.

Halloween Happenings

The store is stocked with ghastly-good Halloween candy, including allergy-friendly Yum Earth lollipops (made without artificial dyes) and Little Secrets’ chocolate bars containing less sugar. So fill your bowl with goodies that skip out on those scary ingredients. Then, on October 31st, be sure to bring your little ghost or goblin into the store for a baggie of treats!

Seasonal Produce

Seasonal Fruits

Every fall apples seem to get all the glory, but this is also prime time for pears. Some are sweet, some are tart, but all are absolutely scrumptious. Try them sliced into a salad with some crumbled blue cheese, grill them on a pizza with prosciutto, poach them with a dash of cinnamon, or bake them into a crumble. This versatile fruit is delicious in so many different applications, and with their anti-inflammatory properties and beneficial compounds, they’re also great for your health.

Seasonal Veggies

It’s time to preheat your oven to 425-degrees because it’s the perfect time to enjoy a plate of roasted winter squash. A member of the gourd family, squash come in many different types and shapes. They’re all nutrient-dense and high in fiber, making them a healthy option. Try as many varieties as you can this season. There’s acorn squash, which is slightly sweet and buttery, and is delicious when sliced in half and roasted with some butter and cinnamon. Spaghetti squash, with its mild flavor and stringy texture can be a low-carb replacement for pasta. Toss it with some fresh pesto and parmesan. And butternut squash’s slight sweetness makes a fantastic soup. With so many different flavors and textures, you can try something new every week.

Join the RT Team

We’re hiring!

We are actively hiring a Manager On Duty (MOD) and Daytime Deli Clerks. We are looking for candidates with flexible schedules who are available evenings and/or weekends.

When it comes to grocery stores, we may be on the smaller side, but what we lack in square footage, we make up for in company culture and teamwork. There’s a reason why our team members know customers’ names, products they prefer, and even what’s going on in their lives. It’s because one of our core hiring principles is finding candidates that are a good match with our culture. Generosity, positivity, and a can-do spirit are some of our top priorities when we hire. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!
