JUNE 2025
Summer, here we come! The school year is about to end and summer is nearly in full swing. Whether you’ve got vacation plans, camp scheduled for the kiddos, or just going to take the days as they come, RT has got whatever you need. Our deli is stocked with all your favorites, so no need to turn on the oven. Our shelves are packed with great mineral sunscreens and natural bug sprays, too. All you’ve got to do is pull out your swimsuit, grab your flip-flops, and put on your best sunglasses, because it’s nearly time to get your summer on!
We’ll see you in the store!
With gratitude,
Jerry
Seasonal Produce
Seasonal Fruits
As temperatures rise, so does our craving for a big bowl of juicy cherries. Part sweet, part tart, these little gems are loaded up with beneficial vitamins and minerals. They’re high in polyphenols, which can help fight inflammation and cell damage. They’re also packed with fiber, which most of us don’t get enough of. While there’s no debating that they’re delicious on their own, try them in this simple cobbler recipe from Sally’s Baking Addiction.
Seasonal Veggies
Don’t just fill your glass with water when hydrating this month, fill your plate with cucumbers. Did you know that more than 90% of this crunchy staple is made up of water? Satisfy your thirst and appetite with this mild-flavored vegetable. They’re perfect for dipping into hummus, tossing into a salad, or slicing into your glass of H2O.
Wellness Matters
Blend In
Smoothies are an easy way to get fiber, fresh fruit and vegetables, and much-needed vitamins and minerals into your diet. They’re also a great option when you’re on the go and want to avoid fast food. It’s why our Blend Bar menu at the deli is so popular! So come in and have our team whip you up something delicious and sustaining.
Steve’s Supplement Suggestion
Adding protein powder to your smoothie can help keep you satiated and satisfied for longer. However, when it comes to protein supplements, they’re not all created equal. Steve loves Truvani’s vegan, organic protein powders. Their ingredient list is limited and understandable, with foods like monk fruit (for sweetness), chia seeds, and peas. The powder also blends up nicely, without the grit. Give their flavors a try the next time you’re crafting a scrumptious blend!
*Speak with your doctor before incorporating any supplement into your diet.
A Good Bite At The Deli
We can’t blame you for not wanting to put your stove or oven on during the summer. Come see our team at the deli to have them serve you up a hearty helping of our Greek Orzo Salad. It’s fresh, filling, and so flavorful your family will be coming back for seconds. It works as a side or main dish.
Smoothie of the Month: Summer Date
You’ll definitely want a second date with this smoothie! Made with almond milk, peanut butter, dates, banana, and a pinch of sea salt, it’s the perfect match for your next meal.
Charity of the Month: Wildlife Center of Long Island
What began as a wildlife rescue and rehab operating out of a garage in 1982, became the first professional wildlife hospital and education center on Long Island. These days, this Huntington-based nonprofit provides over 200 outreach and education programs, rehabilitates and alleviates the suffering of over 2,200 orphaned and injured wild patients, and handles around 10,000 calls to their wildlife hotline each year. It’s a tremendous service to our community that Rising Tide is honored to contribute to.

Working at Rising Tide
When it comes to grocery stores, we may be on the smaller side, but what we lack in square footage, we make up for in company culture and teamwork. There’s a reason why our team members know customers’ names, products they prefer, and even what’s going on in their lives. It’s because one of our core hiring principles is finding candidates that are a good match with our culture. Generosity, positivity, and a can-do spirit are some of our top priorities when we hire. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!
