Assistant Deli Manager

Description

As Assistant Deli Manager, you will help direct our busy and growing food service operation. This means serving customers, fielding their questions, training staff members, maintaining checklists, and setting the tone for positivity and work ethic in the Deli Department. This position is perfect for someone who loves working with people, has a mature and helpful manner, and is looking to grow with us. Strong customer service skills, and experience managing and supporting others is required. Knowledge of natural foods is a plus.

Wage: $18 – $20

 

Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen manager and food service manager to continually improve merchandising and appeal of deli programs and products

  • Be the point person for customers and staff in our food service operation

  • Ensure all daily and weekly tasks are completed

  • Order and maintain adequate levels of paper goods

Qualifications
  • Experience serving the public and working collaboratively in a team setting  

  • Supervisory experience: hiring, training, directing, and evaluating team members 

  • Familiarity with retail and knowledge of organic & natural foods   

  • Ability to handle multiple demands and remain calm under pressure 

  • Evening availability and one weekend evening required
