MAY: THE NORTH SHORE LAND ALLIANCE

For 20 years, the Land Alliance has been committed to conserving and stewarding Long Island’s natural and historic lands, waters and environmental resources. The Locust Valley-based nonprofit has achieved its mission through education, outreach and volunteerism, connecting people to nature and inspiring a community conservation ethic. It has been instrumental in conserving over 1,300 acres of land on LI’s North Shore, opened 16 nature preserves across the island, and operates a thriving community garden in Roosevelt, NY.

Each month our BYOB program is linked to a local charity.  To raise the funds to donate, we charge $.10 for each paper bag we give out.
